Tennsmith Sheet Metal Brakes
These heavy-duty sheet metal brakes are designed and built for long service and accurate bending of sheet metal. Welded steel plate construction and heavy truss rods and braces provide strength and durability. These brakes have numerous adjustment features including: leveling screws and lock nuts on the pedestals; jack screws, shims and tensioner bolts on the apron; and truss rods on the apron, base and upper leaf. Removable apron angle and insert permit 1/4" reverse bends in lighter material. The aprons on these brakes are supported by large pins in free-floating bearings and the upper leaf adjustment screws feature Tennsmith exclusive roller-type thrust bearings to prevent upper leaf creep. Cast steel clamp handles, heavy counterweights and an apron stop rod complement the many other fine features of these heavy-duty brakes.
